Voice over Internet Protocol. Simple. We’ll leave acronyms and jargon there.
VoIP is the term for technology that lets you make voice calls worldwide over the Internet. VoIP technology takes a conversation you are having, turns it into a digital signal and sends it through a cable (the Internet). It then decodes it at the other end and turns it back into your friendly voice. This all happens seamlessly. In essence, VoIP is the new standard in telecommunications; replacing the old telephone systems we were used to.
Ultimately we use this technology to increase call quality and save you money. To find out how we make it work (in simple English) or why it’s cheaper just click the links!
